Refer a Friend Scheme
Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility
The referral scheme is open to existing clients (the "Referrer") who are currently booked onto an active session block of tuition. The scheme is valid from 14th May 2026 and cannot be applied retrospectively. Any referrals made prior to this date are not eligible for a reward under this scheme.
As an exception to the retrospective exclusion above, parents of Year 11 pupils who completed or are completing their final regular 6-session weekly block with Primary Academy are eligible to participate in the scheme on a one-time basis, tied to that final block. This exception does not apply to any additional sessions attended outside of a regular 6-session weekly block, including weekend, half term or holiday tutoring sessions. This exception is only available to eligible Year 11 parents until 31st October 2026, after which this offer expires regardless of whether the scheme remains live for other clients.
2. How to Refer
The Referrer must notify us of their referral by providing the name and contact details of the person they wish to refer (the "Referee") at any point, as long as the Referrer is currently within an active session block booking at the time of referral.
3. Referee Conditions
The Referee must be a new client with no prior bookings. The Referee must book and pay for a session block of tuition in order for the referral reward to be triggered.
4. Reward
- For one successful referral: the Referrer will receive a 50% refund of their own booking fee for that block.
- For two successful referrals under the same booking: the Referrer will receive a 100% refund of their own booking fee for that block.
- The maximum refund per booking is capped at 100% of the Referrer's booking fee, regardless of the number of referrals made.
- The refund is calculated based on the actual amount paid by the Referrer for their current block. This includes part-blocks where the Referrer has joined mid-way through a course, and 30-minute session blocks which are priced differently to standard 50-minute sessions.
- Where a Referrer is booked onto more than one concurrent session block (for example, across multiple subjects), the referral reward applies to one nominated block only, regardless of the total amount paid. The Referrer must nominate which block the reward applies to at the time of referral. The maximum refund is therefore capped at 100% of the fee for that single nominated block.
5. Refund Timing
The refund will be issued to the Referrer once the Referee has completed three weeks of tutoring with Primary Academy. Weeks of tutoring are counted as attended or booked sessions, regardless of which block they fall within. Where a Referee joins with fewer than three weeks remaining in a block, the three-week count will continue into their next block. The refund will not be issued until the three-week threshold has been reached and the Referee's booking remains active and paid at that point.
If two referrals are made, each 50% refund will be issued separately, once each respective Referee has completed three weeks of tutoring under the same conditions described above.
6. Refund Method
Refunds will be returned via the same payment method used by the Referrer at the time of booking.
7. Scheme Reset
The referral scheme resets with each new session block booked by the Referrer. A new referral (or referrals) may be made at the time of each new booking, and the reward structure applies afresh. Where a Referrer holds multiple concurrent bookings, the scheme reset applies per block individually, and each block is treated independently for the purposes of this scheme.
8. Non-Transferable
The referral reward is non-transferable and applies solely to the Referrer's booking fee. The Referee does not receive any discount or reward as part of this scheme unless they themselves, once booked onto a session block, go on to refer a friend — at which point they become a Referrer in their own right and the scheme applies accordingly.
9. Misuse & Availability
We reserve the right to withdraw the referral reward if we reasonably believe the scheme is being misused or abused, or if we are operating at full capacity and are unable to accept new bookings at the time of referral. It is the Referrer's responsibility to check that the scheme is currently active before referring a friend (see clause 11).
10. Changes to the Scheme
We reserve the right to amend or withdraw this scheme at any time. Any changes will not affect referrals already in progress at the time of the change.
11. Checking Availability
Before referring a friend, Referrers should confirm that the scheme is currently live and that spaces are available by visiting https://primary.academy/refer.php. We cannot guarantee a reward for referrals made when the scheme is paused or when no spaces are available, regardless of whether the Referee subsequently joins a waiting list or books at a later date.
12. Up-to-Date Terms
These terms and conditions are correct as of 14th May 2026 and are subject to change. The most current version of these terms can always be found at https://primary.academy/rf-terms.php. It is the Referrer's responsibility to review the current terms before making a referral. Where terms have been updated, any referrals already in progress at the time of the change will continue to be honoured under the terms that were in place when the referral was made.
13. Year 11 Leaver Exception
Parents of Year 11 pupils who have completed or are completing their final regular 6-session weekly block with Primary Academy are eligible to make referrals under this scheme on a one-time basis. The reward will be calculated as 50% or 100% of the fee paid for their most recent regular 6-session weekly block. This exception does not extend to any additional sessions attended outside of that block, including weekend, half term or holiday tutoring. This offer is available to eligible Year 11 parents until 31st October 2026 only. After this date the exception expires, regardless of whether the scheme remains live for other clients. All other terms and conditions apply.
